Holly lập ra topic này coi như là kho tư liệu để post tất cả những bài báo/review về Adam nhé, cho khỏi lẫn với topic thông tin (chỉ dùng để post những thông tin mới). Article/review về Adam thì có rất rất nhiều, mỗi tội tiếng Việt thì lại ít T_T, nhưng Holly sẽ cố gắng cập nhật + dịch càng nhiều càng tốt. Ai đó đủ vốn tiếng Anh cũng nên làm, dịch được bao nhiêu cũng hoan nghênh cheers

Hiện giờ có bài báo trong Rolling Stone là 1 bài không thể thiếu, Holly nghe nói trên ACC là đã có ai đó dịch rồi (hoặc dịch gần xong rồi), có ai liên hệ hay tìm thử được không? Nếu không tìm được thì có lẽ Holly sẽ phải ngồi dịch vậy.

Mọi người nếu có tư liệu, bài báo hay, cứ tự dịch hoặc post thoải mái nhé, miễn có chọn lọc một chút. Trong này muốn tán chuyện, bình luận gì về các bài báo cũng vô tư, đừng spam là được, nhưng tất nhiên mục đích chính vẫn là để trữ tư liệu nhé ;). Bây giờ thì tạm thời chưa có bài nào, nhưng khi nào có Holly sẽ update tất cả link lên bài post đầu tiên này, để mọi người dễ tìm. #12

Ok ^^ Nhưng những số báo lớn có kèm loạt ảnh photoshoot hoặc interview kiểu này thì lập topic mới cho dễ theo dõi. Đang bấn cái photoshoot này quá, đẹp không chịu được :")

Without a doubt, Adam Lambert is the splashiest singer to ever lose on American Idol. The glammy 28-year-old has a knack for grabbing attention, from his costumes (Ziggy Stardust by way of Los Angeles) to the clubby pop-rock featured on his debut, For Your Entertainment, which went gold earlier this year. The album hit iTunes last November, and Lambert’s already released three videos to promote it—an anomaly in a time when the music industry is cutting back on such extravagances. But Lambert’s an extravagant sort of guy, the kind of performer who puts the emphasis on spectacle. “I really enjoy Gareth Pugh,” he says, discussing his go-to designers. “I like the late and great Alexander McQueen. I like Galliano. I love a Dolce & Gabbana suit. For more casual stuff, I like Diesel and Rock & Republic.” And he’s as comfortable in his clothes as he is in his role as a lightning rod for controversy, which is to be expected when you’re an openly gay megastar.

“Most of what I do doesn’t feel controversial,” he says. “I’m just the same Adam I’ve always been, and in the circles I run in, it’s not all that shocking.” Born in Indianapolis and raised in San Diego, Lambert showed a flair for the dramatic at an early age, appearing in various school theater productions; he went on to tour with a production of Hair and worked as a performer on a cruise ship for a year. That was all pre-Idol. Now he’s calling the shots, looking forward to an upcoming summer tour and hoping eventually to cross over into acting. “There’s been a void in mainstream music of a male performer who’s theatrical, campy, over the top. That’s something that used to be celebrated, and I haven’t seen that lately. So I think that’s an interesting challenge—to fill that spot.”

Adam Lambert To Perform At GLAAD Awards

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Adam Lambert will perform at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards next month, Access Hollywood has learned.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation announced the news of Adam as the event’s main performer on Monday.

“GLAAD has advocated for out music artists, including myself, and I am proud to be part of the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards this year,” Adam said in a statement about the April 17 event. “GLAAD’s work to share stories that grow acceptance and understanding about the gay and transgender community is so important in our culture today.”

A source close to the event told Access Hollywood that Adam actually cleared his schedule in order to be able to take the stage at the event. The source added that the “American Idol” Season 8 runner-up will leave shortly after his performance to jump on a plane to Europe to continue his tour.

The GLAAD Media Awards regularly recognize those who offer accurate representation of the gay, lesbian and transgender community in the media.

In addition to Adam performing, a host of stars will be in attendance, including Drew Barrymore, Wanda Sykes, Tom Ford, Sofia Vergara from “Modern Family” and members of the cast of “Glee.”

Constance McMillen, the 18-year-old student from Fulton, Miss., whose prom was canceled after she challenged the school district over its decision not to allow her to bring her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo to the event, will also be in attendance. Constance will be presenting Wanda with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. The award recognizes an openly gay person in entertainment who works to fight homophobia.

GLAAD previously announced that Drew will receive the Vanguard Award, which is presented to media professionals who have increased the visibility and understanding of the LGBT community.

The GLAAD Media Awards will take place on April 17 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Australia is experiencing you for the first time. Who is Adam Lambert?

“He” is really excited to be here. He is looking forward to everyone being so open and liberal and accepting. It’s really refreshing. Even though I have had a lot of support in the States, there has also been a lot of “anti”. As an artist, I am kind of glam, pop rock. I feel like I’m drawn to that spirit of rock and roll from the 60s and 70s. I’m trying to bring back that vibe.

Is this your first time in Australia?

I was here once when I was 19. I was working on a cruise ship and we stopped in Sydney for one day.

You’ve obviously risen to fame through American Idol. Why did you audition?

I was looking for something new; I was bored. I had a dream to make my own music and have people want to listen to it. I was almost 27 and had been working in the theatre on Wicked. I was making money and paying the bills, but I wasn’t saving anything. I thought I needed some stability and security and to build a life – I’m now almost 30. I also felt the need to create my own art and not be directed and choreographed, and told what to say and what to wear and how to do it all the time. I wanted to be my own person.

Did you feel you had that freedom of expression on Idol?

Totally. You’d think the Idol people would try to package you into a certain image. They let me be me, 100-per-cent myself.

You got all the way to Number 2. Were you disappointed not to win?

No. Not at all.

Kris Allen (the winner) said you should have won.

Very sweet of him. He is a real humble guy. It wasn’t really about the title. It was about staying in the competition as long as possible, and I did. And it was about the exposure and the experience and the opportunities it’s created. I’m here.

For Your Entertainment went to Number 3 on the Billboard charts. How did that feel?

Amazing. I was blown away.

You had the chance as a new artist to work on the album with great producers and writers. How did that make you feel?

Just beside myself. That’s what I envisioned for my first pop record, to be collaborating with people that I really respected. Like (Lady) Gaga and Justin Hawkins, Matt Bellamy from Muse, Linda Perry, Ryan Tedder. Great people. In addition to those people, I got to write some of my own tracks as well. That was important to me.

On working with Gaga. Did you just go into the studio one day and come out with something?

Yeah. It was amazing. We all just jammed out. She pushed me to my limit and was like, “Crazier. louder. Go for it. Crazier.” We drank a little bit – it’s so rock and roll.

You are the first openly gay pop star on a major label. It’s never been something you’ve hidden.

No. That’s the thing that’s so funny. It was like, ‘Why did you wait to come out of the closet until after Idol?’ But I’ve always been out of the closet since I was 18.

Do you see yourself as a pioneer for gay artists?

I don’t think of myself that way. I’m just being myself and doing my thing that I’ve always done. During the past couple of years, I’ve been fortunate to do some underground club performances that were creative and costumed and over the top and I’m just doing what I’ve always done on a bigger scale. And if someone wants to label me a pioneer, role model or poster boy they can. That’s cool. It’s flattering, but I’m not consciously trying to be that.

What are you going to do while you’re here?

I’m trying to get the word out about my album. I’m really proud of it. It went to Number 1 on the iTunes pop charts here in Australia. It’s so great. I just want people to hear it.

Is Whataya Want From Me your favourite track?

It’s one of my favourites It was one of the first ones that we completely finished. It just sounded so beautiful when I first heard the demo, I thought the lyrics were so accessible and universal. We all felt that way. It was kind of the perfect second single. It allowed me to say, “I’m doing the best I can. What do you want? I’m trying.”

Do you have any other favourites on the album?

Definitely Fever. And then pretty much all the ones I’ve written, they’re my babies. I think Strut is a pretty great song, and Down the Rabbit Hole, which isn’t on the Australian version, but you can find it on YouTube. They are all great.

Adam Lambert is Finally Crowned the Winner of American Idol

After 9 seasons it is obvious to many that Fox’s American Idol is in its death throes. Love-him-or-hate-him judge Simon Cowell is leaving after this season. The heart of the show, Paula Abdul, is gone. Ellen DeGeneres, as a judge, is useless. And Kara and Randy look bored to tears. Even the band leader, Rickey Minor, has announced his imminent departure for a better gig, having heard the death knell. Season 9 has proven to be an abysmal snooze fest and has begun to be overtaken by ABC’s Dancing With the Stars in the ratings war. Something has sucked the life out of this once thriving reality show and that something is the absence of the artistry, voice, charisma and WOW of Adam Lambert.

Adam strutted and swaggered onto the Season 8 Idol stage and brought with him a presence, power, and professionalism unmatched by any before him, week after week raising the bar to ever more dizzying heights. Fans and judges alike couldn’t wait to see what this fiercely dynamic up and comer would bring to the Idol stage with each new performance, a stage that had never before seen the likes of him. He captured the attention of America, and even amongst brutal attacks for his sexual orientation it was understood in many circles that he was easily the favorite to win the title.

With the arrival of the season finale, host Ryan Seacrest’s shocking announcement that Adam was the Season 8 runner-up created an uproar among his millions of admiring fans, including big names throughout the music industry, many stunned into shocked disbelief, knowing in their gut that Adam had earned the win and would have been awarded the crown had he not been openly gay. The resulting sense of outrage, combined with suspicions of serious voting irregularities, left many fans of the show feeling betrayed and abused, vowing never to watch again. Even some who continue to tune in express a feeling of lifelessness without the excitement of the Adam Lambert Effect. To quote Simon speaking to Adam "No one can top that now." And no one can. The shine is off AI, a portion of its audience has turned away, much of its current audience is nodding off, sending the show spinning towards a black hole. And now American Idol is the equivalent of a dead man walking. Even if it continues for another season it will surely be a shadow of its former greatness.

But an interesting thing happened on the way to the mortuary. While drawing what could be its last breath American Idol has crowned Adam Lambert. He was invited to be the mentor for Elvis week. In an obvious symbolic gesture of assent to his unequaled talent among AI alumni, American Idol gave Adam Lambert the unprecedented honor of being the only AI contestant, including every winner from every season, to ever be chosen to mentor on Idol, for his name to stand alongside the likes of Smokey Robinson, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and other legendary entertainers that have lent their prestige and professional knowledge to the show’s contestants. This was no small gesture on the part of American Idol. On some level, with that gesture, American Idol not only presented to him the crown he'd been denied, but the show awarded Adam Lambert the title of Idol over all Idols. And it seems fitting that Adam was crowned during Elvis week, one rising King honoring another legendary one.

On the night following Adam’s stint as mentor on American Idol, with or without their permission, Adam Lambert claimed and wore that crown and that title. With what can only be described as a mind boggling performance of his hit single Whataya Want From Me, appearing as an apparition in dark profile within a green cone of illuminated swirling clouds, Adam delivered the opening verse of the song with clear, strong, yet hauntingly measured notes that swept his audience into a space/time continuum in which only he and they existed, then broke out into full Planet Fierce rock mode complete with glossy Elvis-esque jacket and pompadour, yet facial and body language that was clearly signature Glambert. It was a stunning performance, one which some have labeled the best Idol return performance the show has ever seen, lending even more validity to his newly bestowed crown. He single-handedly transformed the Idol stage into the Adam Lambert concert, and in doing so, claimed the stage as his own. Anyone else who ever performs on that stage from now on will be borrowing it from Adam Lambert.

After the events of Adam Lambert’s triumphant return to the American Idol stage, it seems like the season 8 finale announcement never happened. For many of Adam’s fans the experience has provided complete closure.

Adam Lambert has come back to American Idol, where a year ago he had an appointment with destiny.

And American Idol, the unique show that launched this supernova, has finally crowned their Idol of, and for, all time.
